Introducing the Oddvertisers šŸ¦„

Here at Poison Gas Co, we LOVE a weirdo. Ainā€™t no one blazing new trails by sticking to the well trodden paths. Weirdos are innovators. Weirdos are beautiful. Itā€™s a term that should be worn as a badge of honour. So weā€™ll be spotlighting just a few of our favourite weirdos, those glorious freaks, those quirky f***s who took their bizarreries and turned them into vast, artistic successes.

To get things started, who else has a better freak flag worth celebrating thanā€¦

RuPaul (he/him/she/her ā€“ ā€œI donā€™t care!ā€)

Place of Origin: San Diego, California, U.S.A
Notable Aliases: The Queen of Drag
Notable Abilities: Beating that mug,

RuPaulā€™s name has become synonymous with drag. Some might even argue that sheā€™s elevated the artform, or at the very least, sheā€™s made it go mainstream by hosting and producing the exponentially popular RuPaulā€™s Drag Race, a show with a legion of fans and almost as many zingy catchphrases - perhaps most pertinently of all, ā€œIf You Can't Love Yourself, How In The Hell Are You Going to Love Somebody Else?ā€ and who could forget, ā€œhe done already done had hersesā€. A true smith of the word.

Why have we featured Ru?

Rupaul inherently just gets branding. As the old saying goes, repetition is reputation, and Ru has stuck to an authentic and consistent tone of voice since, basically, the dawn of time. Rupaul has turned subversive drag into mainstream entertainment. This highlights the importance of understanding what makes your brand authentic and demonstrating consistency in communicating that purpose, to get all serious for a minute. All tea, no marketing theory.

Thanks Ru!
